with hip-hop, r n b fans from all over the city. with the opening act of local electronic band 'goodnight electric' successfully led the crowds to dance for the whole 1,5 hours. then followed by the spectacular performances from the main act 'x-makeena', originally from the city of rennes, x-makeena was noticed in 2002 after a concert with percubaba. the band's music ranges from hip-hop, dub to its happened to me that i’m currently working at a company situated at a ‘let say’ prestigious location in southern Jakarta. to get to my office i take bus and sometime taxi cab, and if i take bus i have to get down at the main road and walk down for another 15 minutes. but for the last two weeks i’ve observed people passes by from and in to an empty lot (so i thought) covered with metal fences. and its actually a short cut to my office. so then ever since i just walk over that area to get 5 minutes faster. but what i found was just beyond a short cut, i eventually found a ‘life’ there. a very humble, simple life. sheltered by used ply woods and boxes. this social injustice scenery is part of everyday life in this megapolitan city of jakarta. i’ve learned of how shocking and disturbing it is from the point of view of some of my friend whose coming from the ‘so called’ first world country. but for most jakarta’ers this kindda place sometime just invisible, hidden behind the tall ticket was quiet cheap, it cost me 65k rups, around us$7. well, the train wasn't too nice. the toilette was dirty and we can smell it from our seat. for the first half hour the view was not nice at all. it was a slum areas along side the rail line. the area along side the rail line in jakarta is like an outlaw territory. but for another two and a half hours later there was a splendid green paddy fields. but luckily on my way back to jakarta, i rode on a nicer train. no smell, no problem with the reclining seat and even faster, it was the argojati executive train. 08:29:46 -0000 my first impression of the palace was a deep sad feeling. most of the area were not seriously well taken care due to the lack of financial supports. compared to the other palaces in java, this palace built in 1529 eventually were more original with not much western influences on its architect. the use of red bricks reminded me of the balinese temples. explaining that this palace was built during the transition era from hinduism to islam. so sad such treasure were not given enough attention by the government. if only they were paying enough attention, this place could give the arrived at the cirebon station at 4, the station was nice and clean. having no ideas where to go from the station we decided to ask the railway officer about the affordable and the closest hotel to the station. walked out the station toward the main road then we saw a small hotel called the aurora. having checked the room then we decided to take the standard, double bed, air conditioned room at the second floor for 140k rups (15 us$) for a night only. the hotel was actually pretty neat and clean, except for the toilette flush that did not work properly and the disappearance of the air condition's remote control, yet! the disaster continued after we had a long walk wandering around the city. we got back to the hotel at 10pm with our eyes couldn't hardly open. i washed my face and
